Nealz Nuze
This place gives me the creeps
By Neal Boortz
What place is that? Washington DC. I arrived here yesterday afternoon. I’ll be doing the show from The Heritage Foundation tomorrow, then over to Capital Hill to be one of the speakers at Herman Cain’s Revolution on the Hill tax reform rally. There’s so much to say in such a speech ... and I don’t know what is going to come out of my mouth when I step up tomorrow ... .so I’ll fill you in tomorrow.
In the meantime ......
As soon as I’m off the plane and on the way to my downtown hotel I started seeing the symbols of America: The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, and he Capitol Dome off in the distance. I’ve been coming to Washington DC since I was about six years old. I used to hang out with my Aunt, a USO volunteer at Union Station. I can still remember her place at the Ontario Apartments over by the National Zoo.
As I saw these old landmarks pass by I thought about how Washington DC used to be a symbol of liberty -- of freedom -- the capital of the world’s greatest country. Now --- and I really don’t like saying this at all -- I see it as the focus -- the command center of people who are working daily to destroy freedom, to destroy economic liberty and to create a nation of fully-dependent parasitic government subjects who’s main concerns are the avoidance of personal responsibility and protecting the people in power who make it possible for them to live their lives with as little personal responsibility and effort as possible. These people are Obama voters, and this city is the focal point of Obama’s grand plan to create a fully government-dependent society. Obama thinks that America’s greatness emanates from this city. A few weeks ago he actually said that what made America great was government spending ... not freedom, and not the sacrifices of millions of men and women throughout our history.
This, unfortunately, is Obama’s city right now. I’ll speak out against the soft tyranny of Barack Obama tomorrow ... then leave.

2012-0229 Ohio Teen Arrested After Posing With Gun, Posting Threats On Facebook Following School Shooting
MANTUA, Ohio (CBS Cleveland) – Just one day after a school shooting devastated Chardon High School in Ohio, a local teen was arrested after posting a new Facebook profile picture that showed him posing with an assault rifle.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Office apprehended the 17-year-old Crestwood High School student on Tuesday morning, after several concerned citizens called in about the image.
Some of his posts also reportedly raised concerns.
Lt. Gregory A. Johnson of the Portage County Sheriff’s Office told CBS Cleveland that the student had, on multiple occasions, posted status updates that celebrated school violence.
“I’m close to going on a stabbing spree,” one post, written on Feb. 22, said. “I can’t take some of these people anymore.”
“Who agrees with their friend that it’s a good idea to shoot up a school?” the teen wrote just hours after the school shooting that has claimed three lives so far.
Students reportedly expressed concern to school officials, who alerted the local authorities. He was arrested as soon as he arrived on campus.
The student’s social networking page has allegedly since been shut down.
He will now face two counts of inducing panic, one count each of aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment. All of the charges are first-degree misdemeanors.
At present, he is being held at the Portage/Geauga County Juvenile Detention Facility, and appeared in court on Feb. 29

Life in "AmeriKa" - Just Goose-Step and shout "Sig-Heil"
Six people at Fort Mill High School's graduation were charged Saturday and a seventh at the graduation for York Comprehensive High School was charged Friday with disorderly conduct, authorities said. Police said the seven yelled after students' names were called.
"I just thought they were going to escort me out," Jonathan Orr told The Herald of Rock Hill. "I had no idea they were going to put handcuffs on me and take me to jail."
Orr, 21, spent two hours in jail after he was arrested when he yelled for his cousin at York's commencement at the Winthrop University Coliseum.
Rock Hill police began patrolling commencements several years ago at the request of school districts who complained of increasing disruption. Those attending graduations are told they can be prosecuted for bad behavior and letters are sent home with students, said Rock Hill police spokesman Lt. Jerry Waldrop.
All the cases, except for one that includes a resisting arrest charge, will be handled in city court and are punishable by a maximum of 30 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Orr said he thinks people should be allowed to cheer.
"For some people, it might be the only member of their family to graduate high school, and it was like a funeral in there," Orr said.
William Massey, 19, was arrested but said he plans to fight the charge. He said he simply "clapped and gave a little whoop" when his fiancee's name was called. Massey said there were warnings before the ceremony but none that said he could be arrested.
He said not everyone who cheered was arrested.
"There's a lot more people that did it than six or seven," said Massey, who graduated from Fort Mill last year.
Fort Mill Principal Dee Christopher says school officials don't ask that offenders be arrested but that he plans to keep a police presence at future graduation ceremonies.
"We think it's important for every graduate's name to be heard and for every person in the arena to be able to see that student cross the stage. ... That's why we have disruptive guests removed," he said.
Last year in Galesburg, Illinois, five students were denied diplomas from the city's lone public high school after enthusiastic friends or family members cheered for them during commencement. Students could get their diplomas after completing eight hours of public service for the school district.

If All Else Fails...
When watching the video, I have to admit not seeing any tears. But the cracking of her voice implies an emotional release not expected from the ice lady.
What gets me that while the disappointing and unexpected way her candidacy is being received may be taking a toll on her, I find it hard to look at this as some "human" moment, worthy of some kind of misplaced and undeserved sympathy.
This is the same Hillary Clinton that had no problem seeking the destruction of the lives of any woman who messed around with Bill. This is the same Hillary Clinton who had no problem watching Billy Dale and others in the White House Travel Office have to spend thousands of dollars (they didn’t have to defend themselves in court against false charges), just so her friends could get the gig.
This is the same Hillary Clinton that accused millions of Americans of being part of a "vast, right wing conspiracy" to bring down her husband, knowing full well that her husband was a serial womanizer, groper, bully, and possible rapist. Did she ever take the time to put herself in the position of any one of those women, alone and going up against the power of the media, not to mention the full power of The White House?
No. Hillary Clinton didn’t give a damn about those people, but now that she’s being summarily rejected by the American people, we should care about the toll it’s taking on her.
Gimme a break.
People's Republic Nanny-State Nitwits in Action!
Next year in California, state regulators are likely to have the emergency power to control individual thermostats, sending temperatures up or down through a radio-controlled device that will be required in new or substantially modified houses and buildings to manage electricity shortages.
The proposed rules are contained in a document circulated by the California Energy Commission, which for more than three decades has set state energy efficiency standards for home appliances, like water heaters, air conditioners and refrigerators. The changes would allow utilities to adjust customers’ preset temperatures when the price of electricity is soaring. Customers could override the utilities’ suggested temperatures. But in emergencies, the utilities could override customers’ wishes.
Update: Due to negative publicity, this scheme was thwarted - for now!
